Hurricane Sandy
Hope everyone is staying safe inside. Be sure to check Avon Grove School District for possible closings.
If AGSD is closed due to weather (or classes are dismissed early), BHMA will automatically be closed.
UPDATE (9:18pm, Oct. 28th): AGSD will be closed on Monday & Tuesday (29th-30th), meaning there will be no classes at BHMA as well.
Tournament
Congratulations to all those who participated in the most recent Southern End Martial Arts tournament. BHMA collected quite a few medals. However, just remember: whether you came in first or last, your techniques will benefit from the experience.
Congratulations to our participants! I'm so proud of you!

SUMMER TRAINING UNIFORM
During the warm weather WHEN Instructor Bill announces it, students are able to wear BHMA t-shirts. If you do not have a BHMA t-shirt, you must wear a black or white PLAIN T-SHIRT until you get a BHMA t-shirt. When the weather turns cooler, Instructor Bill announces that it is time to wear your full uniform.
You are not permitted to wear shorts in class.
These rules have been in existence since the school opened 14 years ago. We try to be as traditional as possible - wearing t-shirts is not traditional in the martial arts - it has always been full uniform all year long.
If the student comes to class wearing shorts or a t-shirt other than plain black or white, they will not be able to participate in class (forgetting 1 or 2 times is OK, but to continually do it is not fair to the students that are following the rules).
Wearing a t-shirt in class is a privilege.
