A reminder or introduction on how testing works at BHMA:
Approximately 2-3 weeks before belt testing occurs, instructors will give out multiple chances to pretest. These pretests occur during regular classes. All students who are not eligible are welcome to attend these pretests and treat them as a normal class.
Students who are ready for the belt examination will be given a test paper to be filled out. Papers will have a due date, which will be enforced.
During the date of the actual examination, no regular classes will be held.
IMPORTANT OBSERVATIONS & NOTES
1. Testing is held once every season (winter, spring, summer, and autumn). Black belt tests are generally held twice a year, under instructor Bill's judgement.
2. Many factors are involved in when a student is eligible (behavior, proficiency in curriculum, number of classes attended, and more). Students who train only once a week will naturally need more time before testing.
3. Students must wear their full uniform to the test.
4. A test paper is not a guarantee that a student will be promoted in rank.
